Zodiac signs were introduced more than 3,000 years ago. I’ve always been a Leo, my sister an Aires, my brother a Taurus, my parents Sagittarius, and my boyfriend a Gemini. But, studies show that the equatorial alignment of the earth has changed.
So what does this mean, you may ask? Not only is there a huge shift in the astrological signs, but there has also been a new sign added– Ophiuchus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiuchus_(astrology)).
Luckily for me, I’m still a Leo! But for many people, like my sister, brother, and boyfriend, that is not the case.
Here is the new astrological chart (Ophiuchus falls between November 29 and December 17):
Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11
Pisces: March 11-April 18
Aries: April 18-May 13
Taurus: May 13-June 21
Gemini: June 21-July 20
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23-Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20
Talk about having an identity crisis! I’m curious as to what happens to the people who fall on the border? Do they get to choose which sign they want to be? Does this give them another excuse to justify bipolar behavior?
In any case, Pluto will always be a planet in my heart, and if you were born a particular sign, no one should have the right to take that away from you!
How do you feel about this drastic change?
“Trying to read and host is like trying to be the President of the United States.”

“I can’t talk to her sometimes. She’s so stupid, she doesn’t know how to get to her own house. How does that happen?!? Something has to be wrong with her.”
–Conversation between two friends about another girl.
We watched this in a HUMAN Sexuality class… go figure.

And that folks is your bio lesson for the day. Insightful much?
“Michael Jackson helped me accept the fact that I am African American.”
–Random African American lady on the news.
This Easter has been pretty much like every other Easter with my family, but one thing in particular made it special. When I was in church, I noticed this lady quickly walking out as her little boy who was probably 3 or 4 years old was trying to catch up behind her. Before the little boy left, he turned around, did a cross while walking backwards out of church, and then continued to catch up to his mom. His mother didn’t do that, and neither did half the other people who left church, even though we all know that when you leave church you’re supposed to walk outside backwards and do a cross.
I know it’s something small, but it was really touching for me to see this kid who doesn’t really understand much, do something we’re all supposed to be doing.
Anyways, Happy Easter everyone! How did you celebrate this Easter?
